Ruqyah

Ruqyah has many meaning and translations. For example in English it is translated as “incantation” which carries a negative meaning, since the word incantation is usually associated with magic, spells, and witchcraft.

However in Islam Ruqyah is the recitation of the Qur’an. It is the seeking of refuge, remembrance and prayers that are used for treating sicknesses and other problems.

Ruqyah can have many uses. It can be recited to cure an evil eye, possession of Jinn, envy and black magic. The secret behind the Ruqyah is that one puts his full trust, reliance and dependence in god, the source of all healing and cure; then you see the benefits.
